Maybe you're a first time test taker, or perhaps you've taken the SAT® exam multiple times wondering how to conquer it. Wherever you stand on the readiness spectrum we can help you get closer to the scores you want.*
With practice, quick review, effective methodology and timing, we provide our students with a solid foundation to take the SAT® exam.
*Please note it is the responsiblity of the student to perform as desired on the SAT® exam, not the responsiblity of the instructors for Granite Bay-Rocklin Test Prep.
When Scott Becker and David Tastor started SAT® preparation classes, they did so with the intent of serving students who had been coming to them for help on the SAT® exam. Using their content knowledge and their ability to teach students at all levels of learning, they designed SAT® courses that would be beneficial for all students.
The courses are content based. That means that we strive to teach, first, the content of the material that students need to know in order to be successful on the exam. We don't neglect the tricks and strategies, but we teach them in conjunction with, and as a result of, the content of the subject matter.
Students will have the opportunity to learn content and strategies for both the SAT® exam and the ACT® exam. The redesigned SAT® exam is more aligned with the ACT® allowing us to teach to both exams.
*Although Granite Bay-Rocklin Test Prep strive to get the student their desired score, by no means is any score is guaranteed by its instructors.
Because we are classroom teachers, we understand what and how students think. This gives us an edge in that our curriculum is structured on the content students will need to know in order to be successful.
SAT® and ACT® preparation is not something new to us. We've been doing it for 12 years. More importantly we are both classroom instructors with over 15 years of experience, each, teaching AP and IB courses in our subject areas.
We have been running workshops 7 times a year for the last 10 years. Many of our students have older siblings who already completed our workshop. There are four area schools that publicly endorse our work.
